If you are coming from outside Bristol the following directions may be of help:
Come into Bristol from the M5 at junction 18/18A on the A4 - follow the A4 until you are in the Avon Gorge (big cliffs either side of you!). At a set of traffic lights, just before the suspension bridge you will turn very sharply left up a steep winding hill up the side of the Avon Gorge. Just after reaching the top you will see the Zoo on your right. Go past and take the second turing on the right - Pembroke Rd. Drive down the hill - Alma Vale Rd is on the left near the bottom of the hill with a large church (All Saints) on the corner. We are at the far end next to the Post Office.
The above directions are the best way to go even if you are coming from the east as it avoids having to go through the City Centre. If you do come in from the M32 then head for Clifton, but don't head into the village itself and stay on Whiteladies Rd until you see Alma Rd on the left. Turn left and then take the first right (St John's Rd) and turn left at the next junction.
If all else fails follow the signs to the Zoo and give us a call when you get there!
Parking:
There is parking most of the way along Alma Vale Rd however it can get busy. Bear in mind that a lot of the cars are only there for a few minutes so a trip round the block can be worthwhile. If not there are several other sidestreets with areas of non-resident parking. Don't worry if you are parked away from the shop as it is easy to load up on the single yellow lines outside the shop if you make a purchase. If all else fails Sainsbury's car park is just around the corner and is free if you spend a few quid in there!
