Two channels of drive with an additional footswitchable boost whenever you want. Channel 1 is lower gain and essentially a clean boost, channel two has more gain and can take things up to a serious crunch - kicking in the boost drives your amp that bit harder and takes your level up for a solo (the boost level is controllable). This pedal is as you would expect very dynamic and responds well to volume changes on the guitar. The tone switch
Any good valve amp can be enhanced with a good boost pedal and this is certainly one of those. Three controls mid and treble plus a gain - and two switches - one to bypass and one to switch channel between treble or mid boost.. The mid has a well chosen frequency response that thickens up the sound nicely, the treble whilst boosting the high frequencies also helps to thicken up the sound as well when turned up. Be careful there is plenty of treble available here so don't overdo it! The gain control controls the amount of boost but also provides a bit of gain when wound right up - a good crunch tone. Essentially this gives your amp another two tone and gain variations greatly increasing its versatility. 9V or power supply
FIRST FUZZ £120
Perhaps not a lot to say about this one except it is possibly the best Fuzz Face out there on the market. Using original spec components - Germanium transistors and Carbon Comp resistors Cornell have captured the original sound of the Fuzz Face. The most obvious characteristic is the touch sensitivity - this is a dynamic sound responding to volume changes from the guitar beautifully. What you get is a big full classic fuzz tone and who wouldn't want that? As you would expect this has true bypass switching and runs off a 9V battery.
