All About Jam Guitars

Jam Guitars was opened on 13th May 2006 with the intention of bringing together the very best in electric guitars, valve amplifiers, and effects pedals under one roof. We aim to keep a relaxed atmosphere where you can contemplate your next purchase without any high pressure sales techniques (we don't know any!). Getting the right tone can be a difficult search but we have a wide variety of products that can tailor things to your exact requirements.

We are Pete Clay and Nick Bray and the shop is a major career change for us as previously we were both working in engineering consultancy! We are not salesman, we are guitar players and we hope our enthusiasm for the guitar comes across and makes any visit to our shop a pleasure.

Our commitment extends beyond your initial purchase and any guitar brought from us can be brought back to the shop for a free set up and adjustment for as long as you own the guitar.
We stock the products that other shops may not. Something different, but equally as deserving of your attention as anything from the mainstream brands; and usually offering better value for money and notably better quality (we're sure our customers will happily vouch for this fact)!

Sales

Should you feel like purchasing anything we accept all major cards (not American Express currently). We will take instruments in part exchange but the nature of the shop means that we cannot take any instrument. We do not sell directly off the internet like many retailers as we prefer to speak to people (old fashioned we know!) and there is no possibility of making mistakes regarding stock - if we can see it, we have it. This is very important to us as some of our products have significant waiting times and if they are not in stock and won't be for some time we won't take your money except as a deposit. This also means that unlike many shops we do not advertise products that we do not actually have!! If we don't have it give us a ring and we will order it for you.

Mail Order:

We are happy to ship anything to you anywhere. For most items over Ł100 we ship for free in the UK, using a 48 hours delivery service if it is in stock. All mail order items can be returned within 7 days for a full refund if they are not suitable. Note: this only applies if you have not previously tried the product in the shop.
